    Dave Campbell's Texas Football Predictions

Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine has some predictions about where Abilene High, Cooper and Wylie will finish in their districts.

Abilene High has a new district and the Eagles and head coach Del Van Cox are picked to win district 3-5A over Kelly Fossil Ridge, Keller Central and Keller High School.

The Eagles return a total of 11 starters from last year's play off team.

In Class 5A football, the Cooper Cougars district is different from the 2015 season, too, but the Cougars are picked to finish the 2016 season at the top.

Head coach Todd Moebes and his team return 15 starters including the quarterback and the leading rushers from last year.

Cooper is picked ahead of Lubbock Cooper.

Class 4A Wylie Bulldogs are in their familiar place as the district favorite again this year according the magazine.

The Bulldogs have eight starters back from the last year's class 4A Div. I Semifinalists.

The Bulldogs are picked ahead of fellow state powerhouses Brownwood and Stephenville, while Snyder is fourth.

Three other 11-man football schools from the big country are district favorites.

Sweetwater, Cisco and Albany are expected to win the district championships.
