Wylie Little League Falls to Corpus Christi Oil Belt

The Wylie Intermediate All-Stars had a rough night against Corpus Christi All-Stars in the Texas West State Little League Tournament.

Wylie was looking for a berth in the championship round, but came up short.

Corpus Christi got on the board first when Luke Smith crushed one all the way to the fence and Justice McCluie came home as they lead 1-0.

Later on McCluie knocked a grounder to short.. That fielder's choice brought home another run as Corpus led 4-1.

In the bottom of the third, Wylie tried to stay in it when Trey Dutton crushed one all the way over the left center fence, but Wylie still trailed 5-2.

Corpus Christi clinched the 10-3 win and they advance to the championship on Sunday morning.

Wylie will play again Saturday morning at 9 against Greater Helotes Little League All-Stars.
