Intermediate Wylie All-Stars Fall to Greater Helotes

The Texas West State Little League Tournament is in full swing over at Wylie Little League, and several Big Country teams are in the running.

Saturday morning the Intermediate Wylie All-Stars took on Greater Helotes All-Stars.

They were fighting in the loser's bracket for a chance to play in the championship round on Sunday.

Wylie started out strong in the first when Riley Hood lifted one into left field, and it fell in for an RBI as Dash Albus crossed home for the first run of the game.

Wylie added to their lead in the second, Trey Dutton reached for the ball and knocked a grounder into left scoring Devin Owen.

    Wylie led 2-0.

However, Greater Helotes did some work on defense. Ethan Webb was on the mound and gets Blaze Garrett to go down swinging in the second and then their bats came alive.

Greater Helotes brought Wylie's run to an end this morning as Wylie falls 11-10, but congratulations to the Intermediate Wylie All-Stars on a great season.
