The 9-11 Dixie All Stars were in action against McAllister on Monday evening in the losers bracket of the Texas West State Little League Tournament.
Top of the first, Dixie first baseman Zachariah Davila steps up to the plate with bases loaded. He hits a grounder to the McAllister shortstop who was not quick enough to stop a run from scoring.
Dixie leads one to nothing.
Moving on to the top of the third, Drake Womack absolutely hammers the ball into the green monster for a three run home run to bring Dixie up 5 to 3.
A couple batters later, Paul Beckham crushes the ball deep into center field and two more runs come home, putting Dixie up 7 to 3.
But McAllister fought to come back, scoring 2 in the sixth inning to beat Dixie 9 to 8. Dixie's season comes to an end but congratulations to the Dixie All Stars on a great season.
