The Texas West State Little League tournament continued Monday night with Breckenridge staying alive in the loser's bracket.
They took on Five Diamonds from San Antonio, and Breckenridge wasn't playing around.
In the second inning, Breckenridge got right to work when Jonas Arellano lifted a fly ball into left field. That one fell in scoring Zane McKay.
Breckenridge took a 1-0 lead.
The very next inning, Jake Escalon knocked a grounder to the short stop. A misplay by Five Diamonds allowed another Breckenridge run to come so they led 3-1.
Breckenridge steam rolled Five Diamonds winning 13-1.
They get to keep fighting through the loser's bracket Tuesday morning at nine again against Corpus Christi Padre.
