BCH Sports Top Matchups: Nos. 1-3

Wylie, Brownwood, Cooper and Breckenridge make up the final three BCH Sports Top 2016 Matchups.

Game number three is between the Breckenridge Buckaroos and the Brock Eagles.

This is a rematch of the district championship in 2015 that Brock won, and the Eagles went on to win the state championship in just their second full season of playing varsity football. The Buckaroos are primed to make some noise against Brock this year. Head coach Casey Hubble's team is loaded with returning starters from last year, and they want to get back on top of the district.

Game number 2 is another rematch of a district championship game last year. The Cooper Cougars and Lubbock Cooper are back in the same district, and they appear to be the class of District 4-5A again in 2016.

The Pirates won last year's showdown in Week 10 to take the top spot and the Cougars won the year before. This match up is becoming quite a rivalry in the district, and head coach Todd Moebes' team would love to come away with a victory in Week 8.

And finally to our top Match Up of 2016. The Wylie Bulldogs and Brownwood Lions square off in Week 7 in what should decide the district race.

Both schools are ranked in the top 20 by Texas Football Magazine to start the year, and the Bulldogs and Lions played a pair of great games in 2015. Wylie won the regular season game, 7-3 and beat the Lions in the state quarterfinals 14-7.

Both programs are used to winning, so you can expect this Week 7 meeting to be the top match up in the Big Country in 2016.
