The Dallas Cowboys are in California for the start of training camp, which officially opened today.
The Cowboys leadership opened this year's camp with a media conference in Oxnard. The Cowboys are facing the fact that three starting defensive players will miss at least four games and up to 10.
That means youngsters will have to step up. But head coach Jason Garrett says that's life in the NFL.
Jason Garrett says, "A huge part of the NFL in 2016 is developing players. You have to have great coaches to do that, and you have to pick them the right way, the right kind of guys who have talent to develop. We have some guys on the football team who are obviously among the best in their position in the NFL. In other areas we're going to have to rely on some younger players we're trying to develop. The best teams are built that way, with that combination of players."
