    HSU's Francino Named Preseason All-American

MINNEAPOLIS - Senior punter Nico Francino was named a first-team All-American as a punter by D3football.com in their preseason accolades released this week.

Francino was named first-team all-American as a junior. The Midland native was leading the nation in punting when he tore his ACL in the mud game at East Texas Baptist. He was the American Southwest Conference special teams player of the year. He averaged 43.6 yards on 30 punts on the year and 15 of those were downed inside the 20.

The Cowboys will start fall camp on Thursday, August 11 and are ranked No. 10 in the preseason D3football.com poll.
