Bangs Is Driven To Improve In 2016

The Bangs Dragons are hard at work trying to put the disappointing 2015 season behind them.

They didn't win a game and finished last in district.

That's in the rear-view mirror, now, and they are focused on 2016.

Head coach Jim Bird has a good nucleus of players returning, and they are expecting to have a much better season this year.

Trett Mitchell said, "just work harder at everything we do in the weight room, take everything more seriously, just get our heads more in everything. Last season we weren't focused a lot of times, we didn't play very hard. Like we wouldn't finish, we'd start the game good and we wouldn't finish good. SOo we'll try and finish better. We're gonna condition more so we're in better shape to finish, and see how it goes."

Coach Jim Bird said, "our philosophy is we gotta get good at what we do before we get good at anything else. So we're running our stuff and our kids are really picking it up fast."

Colton Brewer returns at quarterback for Bangs afer throwing ten touchdown passes in 2015.

Trent James is moving from defensive back to defensive end. He picked off four passes last year.

The Dragons are set to start at home against Early on August 26.
