Bulldogs Are Glad It's Game Week

The first week of the 2016 season is finally here, and the Wylie Bulldogs, like the rest of the Big Country, are getting ready for the first game of the season.

The journey to the start of a new season is a long one that started back in January at Wylie.

Head coach Hugh Sandifer and his team put in the work, and they are glad it's finally game week.

Hugh Sandifer said, "Well there's a lot of excitement. Obviously we've been working for this start of the season since January, and you know the summer workouts, the spring training, just everything involved. Two-a-days all leads up to this first game, so the kids are super pumped to get ready to start."

Cameron Hanna said, "The first game, you know you're really looking forward to it. It's the first game of my senior year, and it's just been long awaited since last December when we ended. Just looking forward to it all year."

Conor Widder said, "We're all really excited. We're all pumped, ready to get back out there and show what we can do."

Wylie starts the season on the road. They are headed to Vernon to face the Lions on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
