    Albany Lions Handling High Expectations

The Albany Lions are picked first in their district, and this a team that's always picked high in the district and in the state, but the guys say they feel like they handle those expectations pretty well. Coach Faith teaches them a lot of humility, and they're excited to get going in 2016.

Jordan Pleasant said, "Oh yeah, growing up in Albany, you know, you're always picked first in everything. We handle the pressure really good. Coach Faith teaches us to be really humble, and we're ready to get back out there and prove to everybody that we're the best."

Hunter Owen said, "I guess it kind of, it puts a lot of pressure on us, but we like that because it always makes us practice harder and try harder to live up to all the expectations that everybody has for us. Definitely excited to get back on the field and really have a chance to put all our practice and preparation to the test."

Denny Faith said, "Right now we're just worried about Colorado City. We've got five games before we get to district, and that's what we want to concentrate on being a good football team when district starts, and we've got five games to prepare for that. We're going to use that as preparation so that when we get to district we hope that we're clicking."

So we'll see how the Lions handle their expectations in 2016. They open their season against Colorado City this Friday.
