The Abilene High Eagles are ready to get the 2016 season underway.
Head coach Del Van Cox and his team open things on the road against San Angelo Lake View tomorrow night.
The Eagles are a senior dominated team in 2016, and they will be leaning on that class for leadership this season.
So, what makes a good senior class?
Peyton Killam said, "Captains being leaders out on the field. Just picking up players when they're down and being good teammates, hard work and dedication, just commitment, really."
Abram Smith said, "Just hard work and dedication. It's a great group of guys. The senior class all we do is hard work. We've been working hard since freshman year, so just that, hard work and dedication, putting all our time and effort into this one thing to be successful."
The Eagles face San Angelo Central on Friday down in San Angelo.
Both teams enter the season as district favorites.
