The Anson Tigers rolled over the Hamlin Pied Pipers in the opening game of the Champions Classic on Thursday night, 46-16.
Anson's Brandon Padilla recovered an Hamlin fumble in the first quarter and returned it for a touchdown. That put the Tigers on top 7-0.
Hamlin came right back to cut the lead to 7-6 thanks to Ayron Wagner's touchdown pass to Kyler Gann.
Anson outscored Hamlin 19-3 the rest of the half to take command.
They poured it on in the second half with 21 consecutive points to clinch the victory.
The Tigers are 1-0 on the season.
Hamlin looks to bounce back from the loss against Merkel in Week 2.
