    Game Balls for Week 1

After the first week of high school football there are some game balls to give out. Each Sunday during the season the BCH Sports Team is going to look back at some of the games from the week and pick some guys who really helped their team and stood out.

Here are the guys for Week 1:

Sweetwater quarterback Chris Thompson: Thompson was 16-20 with 197 yards and four rushing touchdowns. He had no interceptions in Sweetwater's 42-14 win over Wichita Falls.

Cisco quarterback Kase Gayle: Gayle had a good game on Friday as well, rushing for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 65 yards with another touchdown in the air.

Clyde receiver Brandon Berry: Berry caught six passes for 195 yards, and four of those receptions were touchdowns in Clyde's win over Brownfield.

Haskell quarterback Alec Roewe: Roewe gets a game ball too. He rushed for 186 yards with three touchdowns to help the Indians come back and beat Roscoe 42-41, and that game was his first start.

Anson quarterback Cade Baker: Baker led his team to a 46-16 win over Hamlin. He threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 79 yards.

We want to congratulate all these players and teams on a great week. Next week we'll be giving out game balls again for Week 2.
