Babe's Man to Man: Dak's Motivation

Babe Laufenberg said, "You were very close with your mother. She passed away in 2013. Did you feel her with you that night against the Rams?"

Dak Prescott said, "Yes sir. I feel her all the time. I wrote her a text while I was doing my notes the night before the game. Then I walk on that field knowing that she's got the best seat in the house. I throw a touchdown pass and I immediately point to her."

"How about after the game," Laufenberg said. "Did you think mom would be pretty proud of her boy?"

"Definitely," Prescott said. "She probably would've been crying. She was a bit emotional. She was probably shedding some tears up there."

Laufenberg said, "You came to camp, not training camp, but the mini-camp, with the number ten, but that didn't last for long. Walk us through number four."

Prescott said, "They intially #10, but I'd been thinking about the #4. My mom's birthday is September 4. I felt like that was another way to honor her on the front of my chest."
