Class 2A Week 2 Results
In Class 2A starting with No. 12 Anson taking on No. 20 Haskell.
Late in the first quarter, Mason Davis got the handoff on the read option and took it around left and into the endzone for the touchdown.
The Tiger defense held tough and forced Haskell to punt, but Joseph Montgomery and Chris Jones break through to block the punt. Jones scooped and scored to put the Tigers up 13-0.
And it is the Tigers who take this one 38-10.
Out in Stamford, the 19th ranked Bulldogs hosted No. 13 Munday.
On the Moguls' second possession of the game, Trevaul Mitchell found tight end Heath Bivens over the middle for the touchdown, and Munday would convert the two-point try.
Following a goal line stand against Stamford, Munday took over and Mitchell picked up the low sanp to connect with senior Jacoby Thomas on the post route for a pickup of 50-yards to flip the field on the Bulldogs right before the end of the first quarter.
Munday took control and held onto it as they take this game 38-8.
