HS Football Game Balls Week 3

There are some game balls to give out to some guys who really stood out during week three of the high school football season.

This first one should be no surprise, Abilene High running back Abram Smith gets a game ball this week. Smith scored 7 touchdowns in the 55-38 Crosstown Showdown victory, that's a school record by the way. His longest run was a 54-yard score on the second play of the game. He finished with 141 rushing yards.

Next up is another guy from the showdown. Austin Smith led the Cooper offense, and he had a really good night. Cooper had 502 yards and over half came from Smith. He threw for 319 yards with two touchdowns in the loss to Abilene High.

Wylie's Dion Novil gets a game ball. Novil helped lead the Wylie defense and keep them in the game and eventually get the win over Denison. Novil also had his first touchdown reception as a Bulldog at the end of the first quarter.

Finally let's go to Baird. Bears running back Seth Porter had a great game against Haskell in their 44-37 comeback win. He had 26 carries for 153 yards in the game with a touchdown.

Congratulations to all these guys on a great week three.
