    Handling the Crosstown Hangover

The Abilene High Eagles are 2-1 on the season after the crosstown win and that was their second win in a row, so AHS is on a bit of a high.

They've got some good emotions flowing, but how do they handle the hangover from such a hyped up week like the Crosstown Showdown? Head coach Del Van Cox says they just have to get back to business.

"Yeah that's some thing that you have to guard against," Cox said. "You know, we've had two back-to-back pretty emotional weeks as far as getting ourselves back on track, and then having the crosstown game that last week, you just have to make sure that we focus on us getting better. We got to go out to Odessa, and you got to survive everything that goes on out there. It's definitely a challenge for us to make sure we're right mentally."

The Eagles are on the road on Friday. They're heading to Odessa to take on Odessa High at Ratliff Stadium at 7:30.
