The Cougars are 1-2 on the season after the loss to AHS, and that's their second straight loss this season.
The defense has given up a lot of points. 116 in the last two weeks and Monday head coach Todd Moebes talked about what his plan is for the defense, and he says the effort to get better is on everybody.
"You've got to be able to make plays," Moebes said. "I mean that's what we've got to be able to do, and we've got to do a great job as a coaching staff being able to put them in a position to make those plays, so it goes hand in hand. It goes with the coaches. It starts with us and certainly goes down to our players, and we're all in it together. We all understand. We can all look each other in the eye and feel extremely responsible for what has happened. We were in a similar situation even a year ago, and finished the season playing great defense, so we're confident in these groups of guys, and I'm certainly confident in our staff, and certainly feel like the best is yet to come."
Cooper is on the road this week too. They take on Frenship Friday night at 7:30.
