Cooper 'D' Turns Corner Vs. Frenship

Head coach Todd Moebes and his guys play their final non-district game tomorrow night at Shotwell Stadium, and they are hoping the defense continues to play like they did in the second half last week.

The Cooper "D" held Frenship to 78 yards and 6 points after allowing 135 points in the previous 2 and a half games. So, what happened? According to players, it's simple: they played better.

Rueben Perez said, "Honestly, it feels pretty great. We all knew what we could do. We've all seen it. The coaches have seen it. We all believe in what the coaches game plan for us. We see it all through the week during practice. It finally, it's great to see that we are all coming together and started clicking as a unit."

Daytan Mora said, "We were competing. We were going out and having fun. We just kind of woke up from the first have and the other games that we had. We just kind of woke up and felt that we had confidence with all of the returning starters and we knew what we could overcome."
