In the first drive, Abram Smith takes the snap but the ball snaps out, he recovers the fumble and runs it in for an Eagle touchdown to get the game started.
Abilene continues to bring the heat as they block a Haltom punt in the Buffaloes first drive and Dackota Triano recovers it and brings it all the way to the house.
Haltom couldn't catch a break in the second quarter when their quarterback throws an interception and Isaac Buenrrostro makes a Top 10 worthy play to keep the Eagles going.
AHS would score two more touchdowns in the first half to get their momentum up, and they wouldn't stop there. The Eagles scored another touchdown in the third quarter and none in the fourth, but they held Haltom to only score 9 points in the second half. But the Abilene High domination showed in the final score.
The Eagles take the first game of their district play 44-18, bringing them to a 4-1 record for the first 5 games.
