The Wylie Bulldogs won their homecoming game in big fashion on Friday night.
The Bulldogs wasted no time getting the game started, on the first drive of the game Zach Smith found Jonas Lunsford down field, setting Wylie up for an easy touchdown by Brooks Pepper that gets them on the board quick.
We saw a lot more from QB Zach Smith tonight, he even showed off his wheels with an 81 yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter.
Wylie's defense was also a force to be reckoned with tonight, the Bulldogs brought down Brownfield's Isiah Hood on the Wylie 3 yard line, but they would force a fumble and Cameron Hanna recovered it. That led the Bulldogs to a long drive down the field, and Brooks Pepper would run in another Wylie TD.
Wylie dominated Brownfield 53-7. The Bulldogs are now 3-1. They have a bye week next week and will return to the field on October 7th to take on Brownwood.
