OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Reese Childress, So., WR, Hardin-Simmons
Sophomore wide receiver Reese Childress (Abilene, Texas / Abilene HS) had nine catches for 153 yards and scored three times from 21, 29 and 51 yards in the Cowboys' win over Texas Lutheran.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Cory Ward, Sr., LB, Hardin-Simmons
Senior linebacker Cory Ward (San Antonio, Texas / Wagner HS) had a career-best 16 tackles, including nine solo and 2.5 tackles for loss and had 1.5 sacks to lead the HSU defense in the win over Texas Lutheran.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Alex Bell, Jr., WR/KR, Hardin-Simmons
Junior wide receiver / kick returner Alex Bell (Midland, Texas / Lee HS) had five kickoff returns for 147 yards, with a long of 51 yards. Bell also added four catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
