    Wylie Open Week Expectations

The Wylie Bulldogs finished off their non-district schedule with a bang on Friday night.

They topped Brownfield 53-7 to improve to 3-1 on the season. This is the Bulldogs' open week before they head into the race for the Class 4A Division I playoffs. It's a good time to get healthy, and it's a good time to get in some good work. Here's what head coach Hugh Sandifer expects from his team this week.

"Yeah we definitely want to get healthy, and we want to spend a lot of time on the Wylie Bulldogs," Sandifer said. "You just get caught up in so much game week preparation on your opponent, that you forget to really concentrate on some of the things that you're doing, so this week we get to slow down and work on that. You know it's a good week. We can really make it a very productive week and get ready for the start of district play."

"Recollect ourselves and think on the next game that's coming up, and just prepare for what's coming," Ethan Smith said.

No game this week, and then the fun begins next week.

Wylie opens district against the Brownwood Lions. Both schools are ranked in the Harris Ratings Top 25.
