Copy of Good Open Week for Cooper

Cooper Cougars head coach Todd Moebes and his team finished off the non-district schedule with a good performance against Austin Bowie, but came up short with a 24-21 loss to the Bulldogs.

The Cougars are now in their open week as they head into district play next week. There is no game to prepare for, so what does a successful week of practice looks like during open week?

"We focus every single day, you know, continue to play faster, continue to play more confident in what we're doing, continue to increase the timing of everything that we have going on offensively, defensively," Moebes said. "I mean you think about it a lot offensively as far as your timing and your passing game and that type of stuff, but it also has to do with our fits defensively and everything else. We can look back and say it was a great open week."

No game on Friday, but the Cougars get back to it next week when district 4-5a play begins against Lubbock Monterey. The Plainsmen are undefeated so far this year.
