    Cougars Ready For Lubbock Monterey

The Cooper Cougars are set to be at home this week for their district 4-5A opener against Lubbock Monterey tomorrow night.

The Cougars spent the first five weeks of the season playing a really good schedule to get ready for the games that count. District 4-5A is top heavy this year with three of the five teams undefeated, but only one team has their attention this week.

Todd Moebes said, "The biggest challenge in front of us is Lubbock Monterey this Friday. That's where we are focused and looking forward to, but you look at how the district has played out up to this point in time and you are able to see that you got three teams, Lubbock Monterey, Lubbock Cooper, and Lubbock Coronado, all playing really, really good football. Those programs have got a lot of confidence right now. Obviously, they are playing extremely well right now. Certainly, our focus is on Lubbock Monterey this Friday."

Cooper is 2-3 overall. Monterey is 5-0. The district 4-5A opener is tomorrow night at Shotwell Stadium.
