    Wylie Takes Down Brownwood 35-13

The 13th ranked Brownwood Lions hosted #9 Wylie in the district 3-4A division I opener on Friday night, and man was it a fun game to watch.

On the opening drive, Zach Smith finds Cason Grant on the far sideline and he will made it into the corner of the endzone, bringing the score to 7-0 Wylie.

In the second quarter now, Gavin Jefferson takes the snap in the Wildcat and he keeps it up the middle makes a few guys miss and wins the race to the endzone. The two point conversion was no good, keeping the Bulldogs out on top 7-6.

On the ensuing kickoff, Brownwood tried a directional kick to pin the returner in the corner, but Brady Horn has other plans. Horn makes two Lions miss, picks up a convoy of blockers and the race is on. He takes it all the way to the house to put the Bulldogs up 14-7.

Wylie was facing a fourth down late in the half when Cole Burke goes to the air but he's picked off by Jeremy Brown that ends the threat and sees the eams into the half.

Wylie would hold on and take that game 35-13, beating Brownwood for the seventh time in a row for the series.
