What can be said about Abilene High running back Abram Smith that hasn't already been said?
The senior running back added 180 yards to his career total on in Friday night's victory over Keller Central, and he past Hershel Sims as the second leading rusher in school history. By the way, he's found the end zone 22 times this year. What makes him so special?
"There's people all across the nation that have good instincts and talent," head coach Del Van Cox said. "When you combine that with good work, a good work ethic, that's the one that continue on and play college football and continue on and play NFL football. The ones the keep working and try to get better every day."
Smith and the Eagles try to win their 7th straight game on Friday night at Shotwell Stadium against Weatherford.
Another win means they are one step closer to the district title.
