The Cooper Cougars took care of business Friday night taking down Canutillo 55-23.
The Coogs scored on their first possession of the game courtesy of a run from Ender Freeman.
Devon Johnson, Tyrees Whitfield and Myler Royals all scored in the first half of the game.
Head coach Todd Moebes is proud of his team, and even happier for the opportunity to play on Thanksgiving.
"I mean it feels great. For these guys to have another opportunity to practice on Monday and play another football game," Moebes said. "Being 1 of 16 is very special, and certainly being able to play over Thanksgiving."
The Coogs gained a big lead early enough, that coach Moebes was able to get most of the team some playing time.
"We did I mean get an opportunity for everybody to play. It's a special deal to be able to play in the playoffs, and just real proud of the way they played."
Cooper gets a home game next Friday when they will take on Aledo.
