The Abilene High Eagles are rolling in district after beating Haltom for the second time this week.
The Eagles came out bats-a-blazing in the first, having scored 4 to get the game going.
Haltom returned the favor in the second, with 4 runs of their own to tie it all up.
They were all tied at 4 until Abilene High returned to the plate in the third. Peyton Killam and Sammy Renteria both had two run singles, and the Eagles surged the score up 9-4.
They kept adding to their lead in the fourth, with two more runs coming in.
AHS ended the game after the fifth when they run-ruled Haltom 16-6.
The Eagles will host Fossil Ridge on Tuesday at 4:30.
The Cooper Cougars traveled out to Lubbock Friday night for a matchup with Lubbock Cooper.
The guys come up short in this one falling 10 to 0.
Next up the Coogs will play Lubbock High Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Cougar Field.
