    Jack, Carse Pick Up Top South Region Honors

    ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons senior forward Nathaniel Jack and head coach Craig Carse were named the South Region player and coach of the year by D3hoops.com.



    Jack was named the player of the year after averaging 18.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. He also led the team in assists with 119 and steals with 66. He was also named the ASC West player of the year and was named the MVP of the ASC Tournament. It is his second all-South region honor as he was third team a year ago.



    Carse was named coach of the year after leading the Cowboys to the No. 1 South region ranking and to the Round of 16 for the first time in school history. He also led the Cowboys to a school-best 24-7 record on the year.



    Senior center Justin Jones was named second-team all-South region. He averaged 13.4 points and 8.3 rebounds and had 113 blocked shots. It was his second all-South region honor. He was first-team a year ago.
