Bulldogs Are Ready To Defend Crown

The Wylie Bulldogs start District 5-4A play on Tuesday up in Snyder.
The Bulldogs are the defending state champions, but they lost a lot of contributors from that team.
Some teams would worry but not Wylie.
Head coach Clay Martin is working to find the right combination, but the players are confident they have the players for another run at a state title.
Clay Martin said, "Oh I think it's still pretty fluid, you know still trying to put all the puzzle pieces together. You know I think that will continue as we go through this next week or two. You know just trying to build and find what works best."
Bryce Gist said, "Lineup's deep 1-9. Everyone can get up there and put the ball in play and just do our jobs to move guys over and produce runs."
Zach Smith said, "Our lineup has a lot of depth we can hit 1-9. I just heard Bryce say that I mean it's no doubt that 1-9 can put the ball in play and always serve as a threat to the other team."
Wylie starts district at Moffett Field in Snyder on Tuesday. That game against the Tigers starts at 7 p.m.
