    Cooper and Abilene High Take Home Wins on Thursday

    The Abilene High Eagles took down Lubbock Christian in a non-district matchup Thursday afternoon.



    The highlight of the game for the Eagles was a 6-run second inning that ended courtesy of a base hit from Andrew Ezell.



    The Eagles come away with an 8-1 victory over Lubbock Christian.



    District play returns Tuesday afternoon against Keller.


    Coogs Have Big Win Over Lubbock Cooper

    The Cougars won a hard fought pitching battle Thursday night out in Lubbock against Lubbock Cooper.



    Austin Smith got the start, and went 5 and 2/3 innings before coming out giving him the win.



    Zach Goodson came on to secure the final four outs for the Coogs.



    Goodson had a night with 3 hits, he scored the only run and finished with a save.



    The Cougars take the game 1-0 and improve to 8-3 in District 4-5A play and remain in a tie for first in district.



    They travel to Lubbock High on Tuesday at 5.
