CHS Uses Summer to Change 3rd Round Trend

The 7-on-7 season is rolling right along, the Cooper Cougars are one of the schools from the Big Country headed to the state tournament in two weeks.
The Cougars are coming off a 2016 season that saw them lose in the 3rd round again this year.
As matter of fact, they haven't been past the 3rd round since 2000.
Quarterback Ender Freeman says they are using the summer to change that.
"Something has to change, you can't do the same thing every year and expect to get different results. So something's gotta change, we gotta come out working hard, we've gotta have more energy," Ender Freeman said. "I think we've been doing a good job of that during the summer, and we've gotta keep it up. We've just gotta play our hearts out."
"We're trying to come with a whole different attitude this season, and that's going through the third round. We're trying to definitely get past that. That's the only option," Myller Royals said.
"We're working hard every day for third round, pushing past it, and so we'll see what happens at the end of the season."
The state 7-on-7 tournament is in College Station in 2 weeks. The Division I tournament starts on Friday, June 30th.
