Dorrel ready for Cats to play on Anthony Field

ACU's Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium is getting closer and closer to being completed. As a matter of fact, the team will open practice on anthony field in less than two weeks.

1959 was the last season the Wildcats played a football game on the campus, and head coach Adam Dorrel is looking forward seeing his team take the field.

Dorrel said, "We feel like that's going to be a game changer for our football program, short term and long term. The short term benefit is that it gives these guys a place to call home, us to call home. You get that mentality to protect your house. It's already helped in this first recruiting class. We were able to take them through, show them it, and obviously when it's done the future recruiting classes are coming in, so Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium has just been a blessing for our university, for our community and for our football program."

The Wildcats' first game on Anthony Field is September 16th when they Houston Baptist.
