Continued growth in Winters is a must

The Winters Blizzards are coming off a 2-8 season in 1016.
    That's the bad news.
The good news is nineteen lettermen are back, fifteen positions are filled with returning starters, and head coach Matt McCarty is entering his third year.
That all adds up to a possible break through season in Winters.
Mike McCarty said, "Definitely have better skill than we've had in the past few years. Just those kids coming up. It always helps that it's the third year here,so I expect this year, you know 2-8 the past two years isn't acceptable, and we're definitely looking forward to getting that up there and our goal of course is to make the playoffs just like it is every year."
Chris Diaz said, "The same intentions to go to playoffs. We all have the, we all want to go so bad."
Joey Garcia said, "We're the most prepared than we've been in the past few years. We're more experienced, so that's good. I feel like it's the best team we've had in a while."
The Blizzards' season starts in San Saba.
They beat the Armadillos to start the 2016 season.
