The Texas Tech Red Raiders' 5th season head coach Kliff Kingsbury is leading the way, and the Red Raiders are just 24-26 in the Coach Cool era.
It appears he's got to win this year. If not, he'll be looking for another job.
Here's the problem, there are a whole lot of new faces on the field and the sidelines, but Kingsbury says the team has to adjust and get the job done.
"I think you adapt to your personnel, you adapt to your team each year," Kingsbury said. "You keep track of what you did, what worked, what didn't work. Every year you move things around, adjust things, this year's a little bit different, we started a little bit earlier, so I think everybody's experimenting this year on some things, so we just adjust as we go kind of basing our team and where we're at."
The Raiders' offense returns eight players with starting experience. The defense returns just three.
Texas Tech hosts Eastern Washington to open the season on September 2nd.
