ABILENE – Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium will be open for its intended purpose on Saturday, Sept. 16, when the ACU Wildcats host Houston Baptist in the Southland Conference opener for both teams.
But the Brown Family Club Level on the third floor of the Chuck Sitton Tower is also open to the general public to be rented out for various events – meetings, banquets, weddings, wedding receptions, etc.
“One of the goals we had when building this facility was to make it one that the people of Abilene and the Big Country could use and enjoy,” ACU director of athletics Lee De Leon said. “We want to host as many events in this stadium as we can so that people outside of ACU can experience Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium.”
The Club Level is a 10,000-square foot space with seating up to 300 people or standing room for around 400 people. The space will rent for $750 for the first three hours and then $150 for each additional hour.
The rental package includes a base package with tables and chairs and basic audio/video needs, but allows for add-ons for larger parties. Catering, linens and place settings will be made available through Aramark.
In addition to club level rentals, Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium will also be hosting non-ACU football games beginning immediately. This will include UIL matchups as well as neutral site collegiate games. ACU will seek a guarantee of $10,000 per game with that guarantee generated via ticket sales, which will be retained by ACU.
If the $10,000 fee isn’t reached through ticket sales, the two schools will be responsible splitting the shortage to get to the $10,000 fee. The fee includes a base package that will include all ticketing staff, use of the fifth floor press level, scoreboard operator, music operator, public address announcer, use of two team locker rooms and one official’s locker room, static logos and scoreboard and field equipment (chains, kicking nets, benches).
Each game will also come with a $1,000 add-on option that would give one or both teams access to the club level. Food for the club level will be an additional cost and would need to be coordinated with Aramark one week in advance of the game.
For all club level and field rentals please contact Becky Brown at 325-674-2287. All catering, food, linens and place settings can be ordered through Aramark at 325-674-2632.
