The Cooper Cougars open up on the road on Friday night and Ender Freeman is quarterback for the 2017 season.
This his first year to be the starter, but he saw some time last year.
His arm strength and athletic ability are obvious, but what about the intangibles?
Smarts, leadership, does he have those? The answer is yes!
Myller Royals said, "Ender is an all-around great dude. That's on the field and off the field. I really feel he's stepped in his roll as starting quarterback. and taken full initiative of that, and getting the job done in every aspect and every way that he can, so far."
Ender Freeman said, "Servant leadership, so others how the example should be set. It's not always about being vocal, but there are other times you have to be vocal. You have to tell those guys, 'We need to step it up,' or 'We need to be doing this.' Being focused, you know, always being that guy on and off the field."
Cooper starts the season on the road on Friday night against Keller.
