The Jim Ned Indians opened the 2017 season with a resounding victory over state ranked Coleman on Friday night.
This is a program that's been waiting for a break out year, and some entered the season thinking this might be the year they get it done.
One 32-0 victory doesn't make a season, but the Indians say it's a really good way to start the season, and they need to build on it this week.
"It was a good night for us, but we've moved on to the next game, and that's the main thing we've got to do is refocus and get ready to go play a good Goldthwaite team," Jerod Womack said. "Just looking to go back out and fix some of the things we need to get fixed from last Friday and continue to get better as a football team."
"We're feeling pretty good, we're real excited to step back out on the football field Friday, or tomorrow," Riley McCulloch said. "Just been focused this week to going down and dominating."
The Indians try to go 2-0 for the first time since 2007 on Friday. They travel to Goldthwaite to take on the Eagles.
