Bulldogs win big, Lions fall in a close one

The Wylie Bulldogs looking for some redemption against the Lubbock Monterey Plainsmen Friday night, and got it done.

The Bulldogs scored three touchdowns in the first half. One from Lane Ross, Cason Grant and Nathan Moore.

Other than a turnover on the first play of the game for the Bulldogs, they were pretty solid. The bulldogs led 21-10 at halftime, and added to it in the second half.

Wylie gets some redemption of their own taking down Monterey 42-17. They're 1-0 on the season now.

The 14th ranked Brownwood Lions playing a tough home game against the 7th ranked Graham Steers.

Quarterback Tommy Bowden found Nic Salazar in the endzone to give the Lions their first points of the game.

The Lions took off early in this game, but the Steers kept working their way back before taking a lead in the third quarter.

Brownwood fought hard in this one, but in the end Graham was able to squeak by in a knock-down-drag out down south. The Steers take it 54-49.
