Here are four athletes who showed out in week two of the high school football season. They receive this weeks' BCH Sports Game Balls.
Of course we have to start with Cooper quarterback Ender Freeman. Freeman led the Coogs to a huge 41-37 comeback win over Grapevine. Ender was 40-52, broke the record for completions in a single game and passed for 463 yards, and one of his main targets was Myller Royals.
Myller broke some records of his own Friday night. He had 15 catches for 202 yards and one touchdown to help lead the Coogs to a redemption victory over the Mustangs. Remember, in 2016 Cooper lost to Grapevine by 54 points, so a great win for Cooper, and great stats for these two guys
Next up is De Leon quarterback Kevin Yeager. Kevin put up big numbers going 15-20 with three passing touchdowns and one rushing in the Bearcats' 53-6 win over Winters.
Finally, we've got another Eastland guy for you. Running back David Vasquez had a night. He had 166 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown, the first of the game. The Mavericks beat Clyde 35-6 Friday night. Congratulations to these guys on great performances in week two.
