    AHS prepared for short week

The Abilene High Eagles aren't wasting any time getting back on the field.
The Eagles continue their season Thursday night against Odessa High.
As you know, that's a day earlier than normal, which means, everything is sped up in order to be ready.
It's a quick turn around, but the Eagles say they are ready.
Andrew Ezzell said, "Yeah we've just got fewer days to prepare, so we've just got to be sure to focus on the days we have and work on getting better and working hard these days."
Wes Berry said, "It's not too bad, the coaches do a good job of getting us here, getting us going fast, getting the gameplan on and just trying to execute it."
Doak Holloway said, "The preparation's different and stuff, practicing, only having two practices this week when we usually have three, it's a little different."
Del Van Cox said, "You know it's tough, but it really makes us focus on scaling back a little bit and making sure that we don't have too much on and try to do too much."
Abilene High plays Odessa High at 7 p.m. at Shotwell Stadium.
The Eagles are still looking for their first win. The Bronchos enter the game 2-1.
