Cooper falls to Bowie in OT 35-34

The Cooper Cougars only had a touchdown lead against Austin Bowie going into the half.
They led 14-7, but then coach Todd Moebes made a gutsy call opening the half with an onside kick. The Cougars recovered the kick, and then took a 21-7 in the third quarter.
Bowie made it close in the fourth quarter, but the Coogs still led 21-14, but not for long. Bowie tied it up with just over four minutes to go in the game.
The Coogs regained the lead almost right away, so with not much time left the Coogs lead 28-21.
Bowie tied it up 28-28 with :53 seconds left in the game, and we went to overtime tied at 28.
Bowie scored in OT to make it 35-28. Cooper scored and went for two to win the game outright, but Ender Freeman's two point conversion pass was batted down.
The Cougars lose their first game of 2017 in a heartbreaking overtime to Austin Bowie 35-34.
