De Leon ready to be tested on Friday

The 8th ranked De Leon Bearcats open District 7-2A Division I play on the road in Crawford against the 8th ranked Pirates.
De Leon is undefeated this year, while 2016 state runner-up Crawford is 3-1.
The Pirates beat the Bearcats two times last year, and one of those came in the playoffs.
It's a tough way to open district play, but De Leon head coach David Yeager is ready to go.
"I'm just happy for our kids. We're excited to play a good quality opponent. Crawford is definitely a well coached team. They've got lots of good athletes over there. They do a great job, it's a great program, so yeah we're excited about where we are," David Yeager said.
"This will be a good matchup for us to go down there to their place and try to beat them on their home turf, and it'll give us a good indication of where our program is, but we're excited about the opportunity to play a well-coached Crawford team. You've got to play them sometime. It's just the draw of the schedule, so might as well start off with the best team in the district."
This is going to be a good one. Crawford and De Leon are tied at number 8 in the Harris Ratings this week. That game kicks at 7:30 in Crawford.
