    Young Eagles are stepping up

The Abilene High Eagles continue District 3-6A play tomorrow night in Keller, and if the defense continues to play they way have been the last three games, you can expect the Eagles to win their last two games.
Abilene High started the season with lots of young players in the line up and allowed over 40 points a game. In the last three, they are allowing just 15 points a game thanks to the development of the young guys.
Raekwon Millsap said, "They've stepped up great, I guess they've been watching the older guys and they've been paying attention in practice and they've been eager to learn. They're taking big steps and taking big roles in part of our defense."
Colton Wilson said, "Once you do practice, the games should be easy, Just paying attention to the older guys in practice, like Doak, just learning from him, learning from what he's taught."
Del Van Cox said, "Having the experience, you know, having those guys being brought up, those young guys have really stepped up."
Tyler Simpson said, "We've been having fun these last few weeks. We've actually been putting together our fundamentals and playing pretty hard, and that's shown in the last three games we've played. We had a lot of interceptions last game, that was fun, and we're just coming out and playing the game."
The Eagles are headed to Keller for Thursday night's game.
The Indians are 2-2. Abilene High is 1-3 in district.
