Abilene High head coach Del Van Cox and his team didn't play a game last week.
The Eagles are just 1-3 in district play, but if they win out, they could find themselves in the playoffs.
Coach Cox believes the Eagles are better this week than they were last week.
Coach Del Van Cox said, "I think we did. Just the mental break of preparing for a game is a huge rest. We needed rest at this moment and kind of rejuvenated ourselves for the last two games. We showed up to work every day, and they know there's lots of football, in this district, left to be played."
Abilene High is back on the road on Thursday. They take on Keller in Keller at 7 p.m.
