More to Royals than on field excellence

The Cooper Cougars are back in the area round of the playoffs for the third year in a row and the ninth in the last ten years. Receiver Myller Royals is one of the main reasons the Cougars are where they are.
Royals is the schools all-time leader in receptions and yards, and he's tied for the lead in touchdowns.
It's been a great career, and he's been an important part of the Cougars' program.
Todd Moebes said, "Not only is he a leader and a team captain and a profile guy, he's one of the hardest workers that we have. He leads vocally. He constantly hear him encouraging. If there needs to be a little pick up in practice, he's going to be able to add that vocallly, and he leads by example. He certainly a great talent and a match up issue. He's everything that everybody sees. I think we've done a good job of being able to use him in that way, but it's everything that he does Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday that seperate him."
Royals can add to his record setting totals this week in the area round.
Cooper is headed to Fort Stockton to take on El Paso Eastlake. This is the first meeting between the two schools.
