The Cooper Cougars advance to the third round of the playoffs after a big 42-21 win over El Paso Eastlake.
The Coogs jumped out to a lead early when Ender Freeman found Myller Royals, and Myller had another big game Friday night. He broke the single season reception record which was a 50 year old record and several others in tonights win.
Eastlake kept Cooper in check for most of the first half with several touchdowns, but the second half was a strong Cooper team that put Eastlake away.
Another shining spot in the Coogs' offense was running back Tyrees Whitfield who had three touchdowns in the game, and the last one was a 64-yard touchdown run.
