2017 BCH Sports Area Round Game Balls

The Area round of the high school football season is over. We lost some teams, but a lot of Big Country teams stayed alive at the end of round two, and that means we've got some BCH Sports Game Balls to give out.
Starting with the Cooper Cougars running back Tyrees Whitfield had a big night with three touchdowns in the 42-21 win over Eastlake. He had touchdown runs of 44, 44 and 59 yards and 241 yards on 33 carries.Tyrees said he and Myller were trying to outdo each other, and that's what makes them so good.
Now we go to Comanche. Quarterback Bronte Hermesmeyer gets a game ball. He led his team to a 52-14 rout of Slaton and threw two touchdowns in the Indians' win.
The Stamford Bulldogs are headed to the third round after a comeback 21-14 win over Sundown, and Tre Mitchell was a big part of that. Mitchell had a 33 yard touchdown reception in the second quarter and also an interception, so yeah, he gets a game ball.
Finally we go to Albany where Cutter Edgar had four touchdowns. Two in the first quarter and two in the second. Edgar ran for 187 yards on only 11 carries Lions had 507 yards of offense, 338 in the first half in their big win over Santo.
So a big congratulations to our Game Ball winners, keep it up in the playoffs!
